Today, in BASIS SoftExpo 2020, I helped to organize a Session named ‘Growing Bangladeshi Startup Scene’, where I presented the Keynote with the title – ‘State of Startup: Bangladesh 2020‘. I feel this was a very important topic, where I bluntly presented some real data, that shows potential & concern at the same time! So, would love to share the presentation with everybody else as well!
SoftExpo is the largest Tech Event in Bangladesh and named one of the largest in Southeast Asia. I have been involved with SoftExpo, specially for StartUp related sessions for few years now. This year, I was given the responsibility to present the keynote and moderate a panel. I am personally investing in Bangladesh since 2012, and quite vested in this eco-system. As a growing nation, and fast moving ecosystem, there are obviously stories of both sides. When we started back in 2012, we knew it will take at least 20 years to get the real result of Startups, so after just 8 years, we should not really judge, here some of my key findings, and I also presented some interesting numbers, which might seems interesting to you!.
Here are my slides below –
After my keynote we hade a fun panel, with some remarkable folks in Bangladeshi Startup Ecosystem.
The session was a live broadcast (with some minor setbacks), so you could enjoy the video as well –
